Maggie Leung

Maggie joined Geranium in February 2017 as a Project Coordinator in construction, focusing on commercial /mid-rise buildings. Maggie’s prior experience includes roles in the technology industry and condominium development. Maggie was excited at the opportunity to join the Geranium team and apply her diverse experience to this role. A large part of Maggie’s role, and something she greatly enjoys, is the coordination between trades and all of the Geranium teams to ensure projects continue to run efficiently. Working closely with the Project Manager, Maggie also coordinates building permits, meetings with consultants, and facilitates the communication between site and head office.

Maggie looks at Geranium as much more than a company, she looks at it as a family. She believes that because Geranium is like a family, the goal is to not only build a house, but to build a home, leaving a caring footprint in every master-planned community.  Outside of work, Maggie is an active volunteer at her church, leading congregational worship. Maggie likes to relax by listening to music, singing and playing piano, and has been singing in choirs since she was 8 years old. Given the opportunity to meet a historical figure, Maggie would choose Beethoven.  Maggie also enjoys travelling and hiking with her husband and son.

The best advice Maggie has received in her life is “to think and analyze before acting on a decision”; an attitude she applies toward all aspects of her life.

A milestone moment for Maggie in the past few years has been joining Geranium, which was an exciting fresh start, and the success in meeting a weight loss goal. Her dream trip would be to visit Iceland to see the Northern Lights with her family.

Maggie is constantly fascinated by binary code and the impact she believes it has had on the world. Binary code is used by all technology, which is why she considers it mankind’s greatest invention.
